Introduction

The following report will expand on  The Home Depot's usage of 20/20 Technologies software to provide customers to accessibility of 3-D planning when remodeling kitchens and bathrooms.  This report will also provide insight on The Home Depot's business strategy, an analysis on possible problems with the usage of 20/20 Technologies along with recommendations to resolve those issues.




Company History

The Home Depot, founded in 1978, envisioned the building of home-improvement warehouses that exceed in size than of their competitor's facilities. Founders Bernie Marcus, Arthur Blank, Ron Brill and Pat Farrah had the first two stores built in 1979 in Atlanta as Treasure Island " Hypermarket" stores. Bernie Marcus and Arthur Blank's vision in founding The Home Depot was to open a company to mantain important values for them, providing excellent customer service and being a societal benefit. 

The Home Depot currently serves in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, Mexico and China with over 2,248 locations. The Home Depot is the fastest growing retailer company in U.S. History. The Home Depot stores are amntained in a warehouse-style and stocked with mass quantities of home improvement and several products like home appliances, tools, harware, lumber, paint, plumbing, flooring, garden supplies, and building materials. The largest store Home Depot owns are located in Anaheim Hills. CA and in Union, NJ (217,000 square feet).
